University of Waikato Nursing and Health Scholarships -close 15th March 2024

Over the last month, Braemar Hospital hosted 2023 Bachelor of Nursing Scholarship recipients Rachel Harrison and Katrina Hovind-Marx for 2 or the 4 weeks of their paid work placement. Katrina spent her 2 weeks working with the Cardio team at Braemar Hosptial and then in a community-based setting with the Ngāti Maniapoto Marae Pact Trust in Te Kūiti. Rachel spent her 2 weeks assisting in Theatre and then with the community team at Raukura Hauora o Tainui. If you or someone you know is currently entering year 2 of the Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Health programme, applications for the Braemar Charitable Trust University of Waikato Scholarships for 2024 are open until 15 March 2024.  These scholarships provide funding of $10,000, in addition to up to 4 weeks of paid internship with Braemar Hospital or one of our community partners. In 2024, we will be offering two Bachelor of Nursing and one Bachelor of Health Scholarships for domestic students enrolled in their second year of full-time study, who reside in the Waikato DHB region and are from populations and communities typically under-represented in the health sector.
