Victoria Ashplant elected new Braemar Charitable Trust Chair

Lay Trustee Victoria Ashplant was appointed Chair, Braemar Charitable Trust at its June meeting last week. Victoria joined the Trust Board in June 2017, has been it's Deputy Chair for the last two years and is a Chartered Accountant and Director of PwC. In addition to being a member of PwC's Ethics and Business Conduct Committee, Victoria brings over 15 years of financial expertise and a breadth of experience advising 'for-purpose' Boards in the Waikato. Having started her career in the UK, Victoria now resides in Raglan, a free range playground for her two young boys.

Victoria takes over the reigns from retiring Chair and Medical Trustee Chris O'Meeghan who will remain on the Trust Board for a further year. As a member of the Institute of Directors, Victoria will bring an independent, fresh outlook and challenge to help shape the future direction of the Trust and brings her skills and experience to help it navigate through matters of risk management, financial reporting and best practice governance.
