Waikato's community funders are rallying together to back groups at the "coalface" of the coronavirus crisis.The Waikato Community Funders Group, a collection of the region's philanthropic trusts and other funders, is working to fast-track funding to non-profit organisations helping vulnerable communities.
Trust Manager Paula Baker said "We are very proud to be part of this collaborative group who meet daily to discuss our communities needs and how these can be addressed through both support and funding. The focus of the group is not just meeting current need, but ensuring that the community groups in our region are able to continue provide their valuable services into the future".
