2023 Braemar Charitable Trust Science Spinners Scholarship Recipient Announced

Mya Komene from Aiga Tasi/Fraser High school was awarded the Braemar Charitable Trust Health Pathway scholarship award, valued at $1000 at the recent 2023 Kudos Science Excellence awards. This prize is awarded to a Science Spinners student who is on the academic path for a career in Health or Medicine. In addition to the health pathway scholarship, the Braemar Charitable Trust has been a sponsor of the Kudos Science Trust annual Science Spinners programme for the last 3 years. Science Spinners provides students from across the Waikato region with an opportunity to learn about possible STEM based career pathways.

Mya had this to say about the Science Spinners workshops she attended earlier in the year. “From the science expos I attended I was able to get a glimpse of what it looks like being in the different science industries and communities. This ignited my passion and gave me an opportunity to see possible career pathways in action and gave me a sense of what I could do in the future”.

Malo lava and congratulations Mya, we wish you the very best for your future studies.
