Support us

Please donate to help Braemar Charitable Trust continue to improve health outcomes for people living in our community.

There are many ways to get involved. For example, making a donation, leaving us a bequest, donating to our Community Surgery Programme or contributing to our scholarship fund. All donations are tax deductible.

You may wish to make a gift in a way that is special to you, perhaps in a way we haven't covered in the options below. Please get in touch so we can discuss further.

Community Surgery Programme

Community surgeries are a core focus for Braemar Charitable Trust and with growing public waiting lists, demand is increasing. We have been increasing the number of surgeries performed each year to enable people in our community to work, care for their family and return to the everyday activities they enjoy.

How does it work? Surgeons, dentists, nurse practitioners and GPs can refer patients to the Braemar Charitable Trust who have been declined or face very long wait times in the public system, don't have ACC cover, health insurance or the financial means to fund private care. Surgeons and anaesthetists perform the surgeries free of charge, Braemar Hospital provides the theatre and facilities and Braemar Charitable Trust funds the cost of the medical supplies and theatre/hospital staff. You can donate to help enable a free surgery for those who need it most.

Leave a bequest

When you leave a bequest in your will, you provide for future generations. It is an act of generosity and an investment in the future. Including a bequest to Braemar Charitable Trust extends that legacy from your family to your community and is a simple and effective way to support other people's needs many years into the future.

Other donations

Regular and one-off donations
Many people choose to support us after they have had a great experience at Braemar Hospital and want to contribute to our Community Surgery Programme and provide a free surgery to someone who is waiting for a procedure and meets our patient criteria. Others simply want to recognise the good work we do and donate to Braemar Charitable Trust on an ongoing basis.

We welcome ongoing and one-off donations via direct bank credit or through our online donations platform, or through payroll giving.

Each donation is receipted and all donations are tax deductible.

Contributing to the Braemar Charitable Trust Scholarship Fund
Increasing capability and capacity across the health sector is another important goal for the Braemar Charitable Trust. We fund health sector capability building initiatives, including scholarships at the University of Waikato for second year health and nursing students.

By contributing to the Braemar Charitable Trust Scholarship Fund, you will be investing in current and future health across New Zealand. If you would like to contribute to capability building, leave us a note in your donation or contact us directly.

I want to make a one-off donation

You can do this via credit card or online banking. Every donation received, small or large, helps us achieve meaningful health outcomes. To make a donation via online banking, please deposit your donation into bank account 03-0318-0091117-00 with your first name and surname in the reference fields and let us know by email to admin@braemartrust.co.nz so we can acknowledge your kind gift once received. A donation receipt will be provided once payment has been confirmed.

Donate by credit card via our online donation platform.

I want to set up an ongoing donation

You can set up a regular donation payment via our online donation platform here. Simply choose your nominated amount and the frequency you would like to donate, and we'll take care of the rest! Donation receipts are provided annually for tax purposes.
