Braemar Hospital through funding from the Braemar Charitable Trust, is proud to have been the Gold Sponsor of the Breast Cancer Research Trust Pink Walk since 2011. The first Pink Walk was organised in 2006 by a group of health promoters and breast cancer survivors who wanted to raise breast cancer awareness in the Waikato community. Since the initial event it has received amazing public support. We would like to acknowledge the hard work of the organising committee made up of representatives from the Breast Cancer Research Trust, Breast Screen Midland, the Waikato Treasure Chests (breast cancer survivor dragon boat team), the Women’s Cancer Support Group and sponsors. The 2023 Pink Walk is being held 26th October and starts at 5.45 at Innes Common with entertainment from 4.30.
